£Substantial six-figure basic salary + 100% bonus + LTIP’s
Based- UK ( Hybrid working)
This is a marketing leading retailer with sites throughout the UK and ROI. Reporting to the Chief Executive and a key member of the board leadership team, the Commercial & Customer Director will lead the trading and customer teams to develop and implement best in class for their specific areas of expertise. Your focus on the customer will be to create and drive the strategy for our client to impact customer satisfaction, process improvements, and talent and culture initiatives. You will lead your trading team to develop and implement best in class supplier segmentation, negotiation and strategy, ensuring the pricing and promotional strategy meets the customers needs.
In addition, you will take a proactive approach to understand the wider market, competitor trends, and design strategic road-maps that drive category growth and further development, which will include new customer acquisition, and retention. The ideal candidate will be a talented trading expert, with ideally hands- on experience of developing and winning strategies that delight the customer. All of this will have all been gained within either a grocery, value, or convenience retailing environment.
