Working for an industry renowned and highly respected leader in DIY. Reporting to the Group Commercial Director, you will assume full responsibility for the trading team and through them, develop and implement best in class supplier segmentation, negotiation and strategy, ensuring the pricing and promotional strategy meets the customers needs. In addition, you will take a proactive approach to understand the wider market, competitor trends, and design strategic road-maps that drive category growth and further development, which will include new customer acquisition, and retention.
The ideal candidate will be a talented trading expert, modern in your approach and have a successful track record of building long-term, win-win relationships with your supplier base. This will have all been gained within DIY or grocery retailing environment.
